Useful advice
The best fuel for the thermal type of samovar is hot charcoal, dry chocks and wooden chips. It is also possible to use cones, but the advantage of this practice is mostly aesthetic, because the cones burn quickly, even before the water is boiled. Besides, remember that the dry pinecones contain a lot of pitch, which can possibly get in the water. Using the kerosene as the fuel is not permitted in any case.
The fuel in the samovar should be kindled in the following way: first, fill the tank with water, then burn the woodchip over the pitcher of the samovar - do not take the smallest chip, because it will have to lit the others. Slightly put the chip into the pitcher, and when it starts burning, toss another woodchip to this one. When the second chip of wood starts burning, you can add more, but it is better to use the long ones – to cover the half of the pitcher or more, and only then, add the pinecones if you like. It is very important not to suppress the flame.
After that, put on the blow-down stack on the samovar and puff it through the hole in the shaft – the lower part of the samovar (optional). The samovar is able to start boiling from just one laying of firewood, but that may not be enough. In case there is not enough of wood – throw some more in the fire.
Remember the safety rules!

Remember the safety rules!
• The samovar can be heated only in the facilities with exhaust arrangements
• You must not set a samovar during combustion of fuel and next to the inflammable items
• You must not leave a samovar unsupervised
• You must not set the samovar with burning fuel in a pipe on a wooden table
• You must not leave a samovar with decaying coals in a jug without water.
